Charu is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University.
Before joining Texas Primary and Pediatric Care, Charu built a distinguished career as a cardiac nurse at The Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital, where she cared for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. In addition to her clinical role, she served as a mentor and clinical coach for nursing students and incoming new staff, fostering a culture of excellence and support. Her dedication to patient-centered care earned her a nomination for the prestigious DAISY Award.
Charu’s journey into healthcare was preceded by almost 2 decades in education, where she taught students from pre-K through high school in a private academic setting. This foundation in teaching continues to shape her approach to medicine—emphasizing clear communication, active listening, and empowering patients through education.
Today, Charu provides comprehensive care to individuals across the lifespan, from newborns to seniors. She is a strong advocate for preventive medicine and whole-person wellness, tailoring her care to improve long-term health outcomes and quality of life.
Originally from Singapore, Charu is fluent in English and Tamil. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, and exploring new destinations.
